The little white snowflakes fell from the sky, and we were fortunate to put ourselves in a shirt, sweater, gloves, socks and hats … That was … winter was coming to us. Small hand-held and foot warmers, where you can shop a lot at department stores and hawkers around the world. Just open the package and shake it warm and it starts to heat up and stay that way (up to 8 hours) whenever I go hiking, climbing, or even something as simple as walking the dog. I will put a couple in my pocket if I want. CLIMBING COTOPAXI: Gather one of the largest VOLCANOES in the world.

The Cotopaxi volcano is in Ecuador, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, and has been in active use for so many years. Cotopaxi rock climbing has been on my list of tanks for many years. I want to stand on the top of a hill and be part of 50% of the successful climbers on this volcano, and I’m Approximately 5,897 m (19,347 ft) from the Eastern Corderilla of the Andes. Snow covered and cone-shaped cone is perfect and has erupted more than 50 times since 1738.

Trying to climb Cotopaxi has become a popular tourist destination for many years. Climbing is a technical matter. Use nail pliers, ice cream, rope, straps and nothing scary. Climbers set off the summit of the Jose F. Ribas Refugio, located at 4,800 meters (15,748 feet) at 12:30 am, to reach the summit by 7:30 am. The climber can safely return to the basecamp before glaciers and snow are soft enough to cause avalanches.

Attempting this summit is always on my agenda, I have dreamed of it, researched it for the mind, and finally this year I can try it. This is my story …

Road to Cotopaxi volcano

I have spent a relaxing month on the beach in Salinas with my family talking about … living at sea level, sunbathing and eating empanadas. This may have been a minor mistake. I left my family in Guayaquil by taking a quick flight to Quito, 2,850 meters (9,350 feet), which I plan to spend a few days adjusting and using luggage. Fast forward 2 days later, and I had booked my climbing, renting my technical equipment, doing my groceries, and was waiting for my car to go to Cotopaxi National Park the next morning … a lot for the adaptation. Day 1 of our climb and two other climbers waited impatiently to meet our climbing guide and to park our car at the park. We stopped for a lovely lunch … but I was so anxious to eat so I chose my lomo until it was time to walk to the park. I remember telling a lot of ridiculous jokes. Oh yeah … I forgot to mention my Raynaud disease … Nerve? What nerve? Why do everyone have to be nervous about spending 10 hours on the glacier when they feel cold and unattractive to the environment … the joke continues.

We reached our drop point and took a moment to transform into our climbing gear and organize our dress. From here we have time to climb up to the ground at 4,800 meters (15,748 feet). If you suspect this is where Cotopaxi Park tour normally takes you, and we went through the local Ecuador and gringos alike … The only difference is that the 20kg device attached to our back. When we reached the camp, we dropped our pockets, grabbed our picks, took ice and crampons and headed for the glacier to take a little preparation for climbing. Sitting on the glacier at Cotopaxi Volcano

Alarm clock at 12:00 am on Easter Sunday. (The last time someone died here was a snowstorm on Easter Sunday) and I was ready to travel. I crawled out of my sleeping bag and started the floor. Here we go. Frosties … Heat Tights Lululemon Tights, Hot Pants, Climbing Pants, Underwear, Scalp, Headband, Hats, Gloves Long hair, fleece gloves, gortex gloves you got a picture. I walked up the stairs to breakfast, oatmeal and yogurt and a cup of tea. It was almost time for us to throw in the last touch; Straps, helmets, gear heads, headlights and we headed out and up.

Clear skies, low winds, and the first 200 meters of climbing are easy, not too high, and mostly on gravel islands. We walk along the back of the headlight until we reach the glacier. I’m unconscious We stopped here to put our cramps, grabs our ice and artificial harness as our partners before we started our long climbing and tired up the volcano. Climbing usually occurs at night because of the coldest ice and easie.
